You'd think Mr. Money Bucks would spare no expense to save Hilary.  Gas up the air ambulance and get her to the best medical care money can buy.  Nothing against Nate, but I don't think he is a specialist in trauma care, and GC Hospital definitely isn't a state of the art facility.  Get her to St. Mary's or Methodist hospital in Rochester, MN stat!  Those are the two hospitals affiliated with Mayo Clinic.

I have been an RN for 40 years.  Granted, Iím not a trauma nurse, or even ICU or ER.  Just a former OB nurse and now nursing instructor, but I am really cringing at these scenes!  They wouldnít just throw a client with DIC in a room to die.  Sheíd Have a gazillion IVís.  Theyíd be pumping blood and heparin her faster than you could imagine. There would be people going in and out of her room constantly.  Geez!

But since it's in the cards for her to die, they aren't going to get that technical.

Well soaps are notorious for fumbling medical stories. One doctor who specializes in everything, like Dr. Kayla Johnson on Days and now Dr. Nate Hastings. This isn't Grey's Anatomy you know!

I know itís just a soap and normally the inaccuracies donít really bother me like they do many of my nurse friends - I usually take it with a grain of salt - but this, for some reason, really cracked me up. Not even an attempt at reality.

I donít worry too much with the technicalities of it since I know the outcome. But is it legal to keep that sort of information/prognosis from a patient?

While watching the show yesterday, my husband said, "Second opinion! With all Devon's billions, wouldn't he pull out all the stops?"

Mishael Morgan / Hillary is leaving the show people.   There is no way they are going to do any of the things you are suggesting.   They are looking for the cheapest way to write her off.   They won't be making any new sets to pretend she's in some life saving hospital with specialists nor will they be paying walk on extras to be checking her vitals every few minutes.    The actor is leaving because TIIC are cheap, didn't want to give her a salary increase after 5 years, and they underestimate her worth on the show.

I wonder how they will write off Eileen Davidson who they also refused to give a salary increase.

TPTB cannot even afford to send her back to the boathouse to clear the hospital room for another patient.

This has been bugging me for a while. Look at the vitals on the machine behind Hillary.  BP 120/80.  Pulse 60.  Oxygen 98.  Hardly the vitals of a dying person.

Although those inaccuracies are apparent, Iím still finding myself getting teary eyed at the week long bedside scenes.  Itís sad 😢.

On another note, I donít think itís right that Hillary isnít being told the truth about her condition.

I don't think the problem is that they're necessarily "cheap";  they're just flat broke, lol.  That's just what happens when everyone quits watching your show, and you have to sell your advertising spots for thirty-two cents.

I noticed the other day that they accidentally omitted GINA TOGNONI from the closing credits.    They couldn't afford to go back and fix it.   They just rolled the credits without her.    A few years ago, that kind of shoddiness wouldn't have gone on the air.   But now they've got no choice, because they can't afford to fix things anymore.

Hilary's wedding dress will probably be worn by 4 more characters on the show in the next year.   And then they'll sell it on ebay.  She's just lucky she got a machine that shows a heartbeat.    This time next year if a character's dying in the hospital, Mal Young probably just have to stand slightly out of camera range and make some beeping noises.

right. Clearly it's plot driven based on Misheal Morgan's exit. I am a little confused, what is exactly wrong with Hillary? If she's bleeding internally, why can't they do surgery?

If she's so badly injured that they can't 'fix' her, why does she act so alert?
