Why was Jack drinking toay

Did I miss something?  I thought he wasn't allowed to drink due to his addiction (I know he had a pill addiction, but I seem to remember that booze was off-limits as well.)

I know. And it's not the first time they've shown him at the bar. I remember all this dramatic stuff in a cabin with Phyllis overseeing his detox, handing him little bottles of water while he painfully cleaned up a la Ray Milland in The Lost Weekend. Guess they want us to think he only acts addictively with pills, not booze?

I thought Jack has explained this to characters before... his problem was with pills, he's ok with alcohol. I can't remember who he said it to... Neil maybe?

Maybe it isn't realistic, but this is how the show is doing it. He's had alcohol before and explained it.

Yeah remember when he and Gloria got wasted and hooked up? He had to have A LOT of alcohol to end up with her.
