Abby’s brains are working again, thanks to Scott
« on: November 28, 2017, 02:33:09 PM »
Loved the way Abby’s ‘middle name’ is no longer ‘Gullible’.  I suddenly like Abby and Scott together as a couple.  They even look like one.  The look Abby’s announcement put on Victor and Victoria’s faces on the air was priceless.......as was her popping one more blow......I QUIT!  Scott even looks like he’s taller bucking up to the 2 Vics.  Good show.

I doubt her brains will work for long.  Now unemployed, she'll probably just follow Scott around drooling like a puppy dog.

Yep, Abby's a whole lot more tolerable, but I just can't quite figure out why Mal Young is writing Victoria (and Cricket) as such obnoxious hags.   I realize that both Cricket and Victoria have historically been two annoyingly wretched shrews, but he REALLY seems to be playing-up their most hideous traits.   I hope that ain't the way Mal Young thinks business women normally act  :-\

Both actors actually look like miserable, half starved hags.   I'm guessing if the shoe fits write 'em that way.

I was thinking re: yesterday's US show when Cricket was on and couldn't help thinking she she's SO dour.  She looks like she's sucking on a lemon; she's extremely unpleasant.  if I hear "I'm just doing my job" one more time, I don't know what I'll do.  As for Victoria, they really are ramping up the bitchiness.  She was obnoxious before but now she's just a bitch.  Can't stand either character.

If that ain't the truth.  Every time Christine interrogates someone she sounds peevish, as though the suspect has personally affronted her.  I just want to slap her.  Unprofessional you are, Madame ADA.

Victoria is another one who deserves a good whack.  I love Scott and Abby together.  I hope they give the middle finger to Newman, go into business together, and lord it over snotpot Victoria every chance they get.

When Goat Daddy and Hagatha were scowling and rolling their eyes during Abby's press conference, I started thinking that they're a lot like "Boris & Natasha" from the Bullwinkle cartoon, just old one-dimensional villains skulking in the corner with their arms crossed angrily, barking things like, "We'll get you if it's the last thing we do, my pretty!"   Surely, Eric Braeden and Amelia Heinle can't be pleased with what's happened to their characters.

And poor, stupid, grouchy-ass Paul biting Nikki's head off about the stolen gun which slayed the Preppy Pimp --- well, that was ridiculous too.  But we know from his tweeting that Doug Davidson loves this material, no matter how foolish he looks when he delivers his lines.    Nikki seemed to be playing it for a joke, but Doug Davidson acted like he was cracking a case on CSI or something.

I sure enjoyed Abby and Scotty, though.

Doug Davidson was rarely used by Sally Sussman, so he's probably glad to be acting again.  I think he enjoys playing Paul as not so swift, since viewers pay closer attention.

I really enjoyed Abby’s performance today.  When she spoke to the press she was concise and forthcoming and didn’t back down or let Victor and Victoria intimidate her.

I liked when she demanded Scott to call/text Sharon back.  Too bad he didn’t listen because he should’ve let Sharon know what was happening.

What the writers are doing to Victoria is a real puzzle.  They make her look like she is only thinking of how jealous she is of Abby (and vice versa).  Makes them both look like very weak women. >:(

The direction of Victoria is also variable.  All last week she was barking orders in her manly voice so people would take her seriously.  Before the press conference she was talking to Abby in her more feminine, inside voice, trying to sound reasonable (instead of unhinged).  But Victoria is at her best when she doesn't speak at all and merely glares and steams; Victor too.

totally agree chuckles.  i don't think this makes either of them look oh so powerful and smart.  they come off as petty little school children trying to best one another on the playground.  a TRUE corporation would have a TEAM of public information specialists working on this and they would come together to SOLVE the problem, not battle for the affections of daddy dearest.

and the title says it all..."thanks to scott"  once again a female lead is "saved" by a male character on the show.  gag!  btw, what scott is doing to sharon is stupid.  he is SO clearly not into her anymore and is starting to develop some storage shed feels for abby-kins.  rip the band aid off writers and break these two up.  sharon deserves better and abby-kins deserves scotty boy.  ::)

I am finding Scott to be incredibly rude.  First he blows off dinner that Sharon put a lot of time into, and then he leaves her sitting at the table at TTOT while he talks to Abby.  If it were a 1-2 minute exchange, that would be one thing but he was there quite a while and he should have talked to her the following day, seeing as this was date night. This after Abby barged into Sharon's house this morning to "hang out with" Scott.
